Bio

Thomas Ciesco is a highly qualified professional specializing in the mechanical, electrical and electronics disciplines. Tom has been a registered US Patent Agent since 2006. He is skilled at integrating systems and understands how things work with one another. His understanding came from disassembling items and attempting to put them back together from an early age. He began his higher education at Waterbury State Technical College where his technical abilities were highlighted in helping other students on his way to an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. He always believed his hands-on work at the college was the key to his troubleshooting skills. Tom then went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Haven in 1991.

He started his career in ultrapure water filtration for research and production in the electronics industry, pharmaceutical industry and in medicine where he held technical, sales and management positions for 15 years. During those 15 years, Tom started his own piping business for performing piping replacement work at Yale New Haven Hospital where he welded piping systems throughout their Chemistry Building. He both designed the ultrapure water systems and installed the entire ultrapure water distribution system for JDS Uniphase during their time developing fiber optic cables for the communication industry.

Tom then moved on to become a registered patent agent training under experienced attorneys for 17 years. His experience allows Tom to develop strategies in prosecution. He has prosecuted patent application in the United States, Canada, Mexico and many foreign countries overseas.
Tom enjoys working with inventors who need a hand in the technical aspect of their invention, both in fabrication of a prototype as well as research on maximizing its utility.

Tom owned a landscaping business from 2004 until 2006.
